Home made flat bread . . . gourmet meat and seafood grilled fresh while you wait and watch. Topped with your choice of our gourmet sauces and cheeses. The Romans discovered and quickly odopted and adapted the Etruscan "ash cake" which was a polenta based baked gruel that was cooked over hot stones under the ash in a fire pit. Over time the Romans transformed it into pasta and the "Focaccia" style of flat bread. The Romans introduced this bread to all the lands that they conquered. It became the basis for all flat breads in Europe, all the way to the hearth cakes of Scotland. All are related to the original Roman/Etruscan "ash bread". The traditional bread was coated with oils, spice and other ingredients. THESE are our versions of "ASH BREAD"
OUR HOUSE SPECIAL Steak Bread. With horseradish mayo, then covered with grilled beef steak, onions, red peppers and mushrooms.Then topped with melted hot pepper cheese. Shrimp- Coated with special sauce, covered with plump shrimp, onion, zuccinni, mushroom and in season veggies.
Italian Sausage - With seasoned tomato sauce. Sauteed and seasoned vegetables and mushrooms, topped with Mozarella cheese and diced tomato. Chicken - Home made bread with sauteed chicken and sauteed veggies topped with mozarella cheese & diced tomatoes. Italian Beef - Roasted and simmered beef, sauteed onions and peppers with mushrooms and cheese seasonings.
